Overview: Purpose and Scoring System
The EduTech Review wiki was started as an assignment for the class in which we are enrolled, Understanding the Impact of Technology on Education, Work, and Society. Students enrolled were asked to review learning resources previewed as part of week one's class task. The learning resources include blogs, articles, etc. and all addressed multiple ways to incorporate technology into the classroom. For the purposes of this wiki the sites will be rated using an at a glance system of 1 to 5 stars:

Rating System Explained

In addition, as we build the wiki we'd like you to rate the resources using our 5-star rating system. Feel free to rate us as well to let us know how we're doing. Though we composed this wiki to review classroom technology resources, our long-term goal is to contribute to a space that will serve as a resource for educators and those who wish to incorporate new and innovative learning into the classroom.

I am a K-12 educator currently pursuing an M.Ed. in Adolescent Literacy and Technology at Walden University. I received my undergraduate degree in Business Management from Grambling State University in 2002 and teaching certification from the University of New Orleans in 2005. I’m a proud New Orleanian who was entering their 2nd teaching year when Hurricane Katrina forever changed my life and educational journey. In my most recent teaching assignment I served as a 7th grade Social Studies teacher to the wonderful students of Luna M.S., part of Northside I.S.D. Located in San Antonio, Texas it is the 4th largest school district in Texas and the 42nd largest in the country. Desirous of a change of scenery and pursuit of greater service to children I’m currently in the process of relocating to the Maryland/Washington D.C. area. There I hope to expand my teaching horizons and share the knowledge I've been so fortunate to obtain. My third class at Walden focuses on using technology to not just do things differently but to do different things. The EduTechReview wiki and blog--http://keilastechtrek.edublogs.org-- are part of this trek.

I am currently pursuing an M.Ed in Adolescent Literacy and Technology at Walden University. I received my undergraduate degree in English Education in 2006. I currently teach 8th grade English in Woodstock, Georgia to a great group of tech savvy students. I have always loved technology and I'm always looking for new ways to incorporate the newest media into my classroom. I recently wrote and received a technology grant that allows me to offer my students a 24 laptop mobile lab in addition to a Dell Creation Station, and multiple digital recorders. This year my students and I will embark on a journey to become a paperless classroom.

Hello! I received my Undergraduate degree from the State University College of New York College at Oswego, New York. I am currently teaching 10th grade Global Studies as well as AP World History. The district I teach in is trying very hard to bring technology into every classroom. In the high school we have been very fortunate as every classroom has been outfitted with a SMART board. I am enrolled in the M-Ed Literacy and Technology program at Walden University and I am hoping to take information from this program and use it this coming school year in my classes.
